My phone rang at 6:45 pm one evening. I don’t normally answer it if I don’t recognize the number. I answered it. To my surprise it was the Governors office. One of his top four aids.
First let me explain, several days before I received a list from the Governors DeSantis press department listing the candidates he was endorsing, I thought Kat Cammack is not on that list, so I sent an email asking why because she is one of our rising stars. she is kicking butt and taking names. She is standing up for the American people especially in the North Central Florida area. That is what the phone call was all about.
Governor DeSantis top aid was calling me, WOW.
The representative of the Governor said I want to assure you that Kat Cammack is being endorsed by Governor DeSantis. I said endorsing her means having her name on that list. I explained to the aid that I am running the Governors press releases to the tune of a half page almost every month in all four of my newspapers.
I also mentioned the Marion County REC Chair Brigitte Smith pulling the Republican’s party back together in Marion County. Brigitte and her team are doing a good job.
I was elated that I would get a call from the Governors office. That is a big deal to me, I extended an invitation to call me next time they were in the area for a quite cup coffee at a place of their choosing! WOW would that be great to be recognized.
