LADY LAKE — A beloved holiday tradition is making its return! The Town of Lady Lake is pleased to announce that the annual Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 5, thanks to the generous support of PARALIFE Financial, which has stepped forward to fully sponsor the event.
The parade was previously canceled due to budget constraints and the significant costs associated with hosting the event, including public safety, staffing and road closures. However, an extraordinary show of community support has made it possible to bring the cherished tradition back this holiday season.
Greg Parady, CEO and founder of PARALIFE Financial, and Julie Harkins, president and managing partner, have generously committed to funding the entire parade. Representatives Alisha Helseth and Melissa Steele attended Monday’s Town Commission meeting to share the news.
“We are so excited to step up to keep the tradition of the parade alive!” said Helseth.
The sponsorship reflects the important role community partnerships play in preserving events that bring residents together, particularly as the Town works to balance fiscal responsibility with opportunities for community engagement.
“We are incredibly grateful to PARALIFE Financial for recognizing what this tradition means to our community,” said Parks and Recreation Director Mike Burske. “Their generosity allows us to bring families, friends and neighbors together for a celebration that has become such a special part of Lady Lake.”
Event Planner Amy Alicea echoed that excitement. “The Christmas Parade is about more than floats. It’s about making memories and celebrating the community spirit that makes Lady Lake special. We’re thrilled to see this tradition continue and can’t wait to get started!”
Save the date! The Lady Lake Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026. Additional details, including the parade time, route and participation opportunities, will be announced in the coming weeks.
