The same people who are making our taxes go up want us to give them money to help them get re-elected! Actually I receive at least 10 request to donate my money or space in my newspaper or usually both every day You people running the country and the state and the county have ask to much!
It is getting close to the point our mortgage insurance will be more than our mortgage payment. Does that sound right? Do you the people in Florida and Marion County thinks that right? Our insurance payments are going up $1200 minimum every year, year after year, same house same property. If you don’t have a claim on the insurance the company gets even fatter and makes more profit gets happy and bigger. Does the county want us to sell our homes and leave the county we love? I really don’t think they intend that and may not realize how bad it is getting. Their pay scale is a lot bigger than most of us! We need some relief here, most people don’t beg for the county to devalue their house, but if you have lived in the same place and paid your taxes here for a long time, it is your home and it should be protected by your Board of County Commissioners! Protect you the America tax payers. I have been paying taxes in Marion County for 56 years. I hope to see the tax’s go down and reduce the insurance bill’s, instead it has tripled. The American Dream is to get a job meet the love of your life, buy a house and live in the county all your life!
Governor DeSantis said he will have have a vote on the ballot to stop County taxes and that would drop the insurance bill. Don’t let them tell you it is not good! The long time Marion County residents should not have to pay for the infrastructure that the new comers will enjoy.
Lower our taxes and lower our mortgage insurance, lower car insurance & Healthcare insurance.
Stop dangling a carrot to get elected and MAKE IT HAPPEN!
