After multiple rounds of voting, the House of Representative elected a new Speaker of the House on Wednesday. Congratulations to my colleague, Representative Mike Johnson of Louisiana, as he embarks on his Speakership. I’ve had the privilege to work alongside him on the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government and know that he will lead the House with principle.

This week in Washington, I held a press conference with over a dozen of my colleagues for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is critical that women do routine checks and self-examinations, and schedule their mammograms! Early detection is critical to preventing and treating breast cancer.

At home in Florida’s Third, our office joined Family Promise as they celebrated 25 years of helping prevent homelessness and stabilizing families who have experienced homelessness. Thank you for serving our community.

Additionally, Team Kat attended the Alachua Water Quality & Resiliency Improvement Project’s groundbreaking ceremony! This project will work to pump one million gallons of water each day for our neighbors.

Finally, tomorrow is National First Responders Appreciation Day. Earlier this morning, I introduced a bipartisan resolution with three of my colleagues to thank our hardworking first responders and to encourage them for the difficult jobs they perform for our communities.

With all that’s happening this Congress, it is my greatest honor to represent you and hear from you about the issues that matter most. You can read below about what we’ve been up to this week, and as always, you can stay up to date with us here, on our website, and on TwitterFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

For Freedom,

Congresswoman Kat Cammack

Proudly Representing Florida’s Third Congressional District
