It was another busy week in Florida’s Third District, focused on building stronger communities, creating more opportunities, and making sure the voices of North Central Florida are heard in Washington.
From bringing together economic development leaders and visiting local manufacturers to spending time with Alzheimer’s advocates, I heard directly from the people working every day to move our communities forward. Those conversations about good-paying jobs, our skilled workforce, access to quality healthcare, and cutting bureaucratic red tape are shaping the work I’m taking back to Washington.
Every conversation is an opportunity to listen, learn, and turn the challenges facing our communities into real solutions. That’s what public service is all about, and I’m proud to keep fighting for a stronger future for North Central Florida!
As always, thank you for the trust you place in me to serve as your voice in Washington.

Strengthening Economic Development Across North Central Florida
I brought together economic development leaders from 11 counties across Florida’s Third District at my Gainesville office to discuss opportunities to strengthen our local economies, attract new businesses, and support continued growth throughout North Central Florida.
Our conversations focused on some of the biggest challenges facing our communities, including recruiting more healthcare providers, improving critical infrastructure, and creating good-paying jobs for Floridians. We also discussed how to cut through bureaucratic red tape and ensure our communities have the resources they need to grow and thrive.
From expanding access to healthcare to creating new economic opportunities, I’m committed to turning these conversations into real results for North Central Florida. More jobs, stronger businesses, and thriving communities mean a stronger future for Florida’s Third District!

Turning Alzheimer’s Awareness Into Action
I got to sit down with local members of the Alzheimer’s Association to learn more about brain health and what North Central Florida families are up against when Alzheimer’s hits home.
For too many families, an Alzheimer’s diagnosis brings tough questions about care, treatment, and where to turn for help. They deserve answers, resources, and hope for the future.
I’m bringing their voices to Washington, and I’m proud to support the ASAP Act. I’ll keep fighting for stronger Alzheimer’s research, earlier detection, and better access to care while making sure caregivers have the support they need.

Keeping American Manufacturing Strong
I had the opportunity to visit Union LaSteel in Lake Butler, where skilled welders and fabricators have been helping build North Central Florida for 26 years!
Brett Parrish and his team gave me a firsthand look at their welding and trim shops, where I learned more about their operations and heard directly from employees about the challenges facing small manufacturers, including rising costs and workforce shortages.
Skilled trades help fuel our economy, and we need to make sure the next generation of workers has the tools to succeed. That means expanding apprenticeships, strengthening technical education, and creating more pathways to good-paying careers without requiring a four-year college degree.
I’m proud to support the hardworking men and women who keep North Central Florida building, growing, and moving forward!

Prioritizing Women’s Healthcare
I sat down with Larry O’Connor to discuss President Trump’s executive order directing the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to establish a dedicated Women’s Health Division.
As Chair of the Republican Women’s Caucus, I’ve been a strong advocate for making women’s health a national priority. With President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump championing new efforts to strengthen women’s health research, including a dedicated division at the NIH, we’re seeing greater attention to an issue that affects millions of American women.
Women deserve answers, earlier diagnoses, better treatments, and a healthcare system that puts their needs first. I’ll continue working to make sure women’s health remains a priority in Washington!

Common Sense Over Political Games
I joined Harris Faulkner on Fox News’ The Faulkner Focus to talk about the issues shaping our country and the priorities facing hardworking American families.
From rising costs and economic uncertainty to growing frustration with Washington, hardworking Americans are demanding more accountability and real solutions to the challenges affecting their everyday lives.
The direction of our country matters, and so do the decisions being made in Washington. We need to focus on making life more affordable, creating good-paying jobs, strengthening our economy, and restoring trust in our institutions.
Less political theater. More common sense. Real results for the American people!
