I have heard & read many tax payers complaining online about Marion County Taxes affecting their monthly payments on their Mortgage. (Especially the elderly. The area was from Rainbow Springs, OTOW, Lake Tropicana Estates, Rainbow Lakes estates, Rainbows Inn, Marion Oaks and several others in Ocala along 200. When the county raises the taxes it raises the value of their home then the insurance Company can raise their prices, leaving the home owners at the mercy of the insurance Company’s and maybe the mortgage company. Go online and look at the fore closers in Marion. Marion County is going to be named the most expensive county to live in Florida. When you call the county says you if you make less than a curtain amount per year you can apply. NO it should be the Insurance Company’s should give the people over 65 a rebate at the end of the year to help pay the taxes the county just raised again! Please Marion County Board of Directors, read the letter I sent you, or did it go into the trash that we have to pay for.

People who are in fear of being harmed carry a defensive weapon so at least you can fight back. I noticed the girl that got stabbed and killed sat on the train with her back to the killer. She was not expecting any problems on her trip home. If she had her back against the wall and was expecting trouble at least she might have had a chance to fight! I see a lot of voices on Neighbors blog complaining about taxes. Most on the west side of the county and most are seniors. The county fathers and mothers need to remember 28.3% of the voters are seniors. Also remember they offer financial stability to the economy here because they get check every month and spend money. If you don’t believe me just try to go shopping on the first of the month.

I also complained to the Governor about him announcing the financial aid he is giving small towns, nothing for Dunnellon. To the west they received money. How does the state decide who gets money? Maybe they want those areas to develop?

I wonder how the bear hunt went. When the state had to trap a nuisance bear they released many of them in golf hammock. Hunters in that area are making comments about encountering more bears than ever before. Maybe that is why the bear season was opened the state is running out of places to release them.
