I little bit about the Select Business Associates is the they are a non profit group of local business people that meet twice a month, dedicated to help each other in business with referrals and friendship. The Public Education Foundation of Marion County has proudly raised millions of dollars for our teachers and students in Marion County. Those funds have been placed back into the hands of teachers through programs like Grants for Great Ideas, Tools for Teaching, Take Stock in Children, as well as Golden Apple Academy. PEFMC is committed to continue to serving the needs of our teachers and students well into the future.
Thanks to the recent the generosity from Select Business Associates of Ocala, additional support will be provided to elementary school literacy initiatives through the Foundation’s Grants for Great Ideas program. The Grants for Great Ideas program enables teachers to make real improvements in their classrooms and schools tied to key areas of literacy, STEM education, career and technical education and student resiliency.
