Trump visits the Villages campaign-style. Trump is “under siege” and so is Medicare. The Democrats want their own version of National Health Care. Trump is trying to stop the Left from changing our private insurers programs. This is America we the people should have the liberty to choose our own insurance. Trump signed an executive order status quo for Medicare, preserving as is, especially private insurers Medicare Advantage plan. The by invitation only!
Trump says ”These people on the Left are crazy. They want to take private Healthcare away and give you lousy health care. We are making your Medicare even better and we’re not letting anyone take away from you, as long as I am President”.
Outside the meeting there were pretty strong signs on display. One was…SOCIALIST / COMMUNIST / DEMOCRAT, NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE. That is a strong message. It shows the feeling of the person carrying the sign.
There were some comparisons made by local residents between Jeb Bush and Trump. Jeb was good to the Villages. Here is why. Jeb received four hundred thousand dollars plus and brother George received two hundred thousand dollars for their campaign effort. The Villages Corp sold a medical building to an Ocala hospital group. Later two hospitals applied for the certificates of beds which is in compliance to adding more beds for hospital or putting in a satellite clinic/hospital. The Villages Corp allegedly applied after the other hospitals and asked for permission to start their own hospital. Allegedly Jeb Bush personally took the Villages application around the certificate of beds to a higher power (I wonder who) and surprise? Got it approve over the other hospitals that applied months before. They were denied. A lawsuit followed. It was visible for a number of years but then disappeared. The Leesburg hospital changed hands. It was no longer affiliated with Orlando Regional and I’m not sure what happened with the Ocala Regional side of the Lawsuit. I think it changed hands and the lawsuit went away.
I would not Compare Trump to Bush in the Villages. It all about money! My editorials earned me a scathing phone call from the head administrator. My answer was my editorials came from the mouths of the Villages residents. Call them!
