IT WAS A FUN FAMILY DAY!
The Festival Is presented by Habitat for Humanity of Marion County
An estimated 22,000 people attended? They sold 188 fats of Strawberry’s.
There were 211 Exhibitors. The reason for the Strawberry Fest is to promote Family day and raise funds for Habitat Houses so they can continue to do all those great things they do for the local people in need.
It is hard to tell how much was raised this early and there was fund raiser’s going on inside the Festival like Parking was being shared by several groups needing funds, food and many more. There were many Sponsors involved which is listed at the end of this story.
It started out the day before when there were 40 mp wind gust and some of the tents set up early took flight. The team was on it working hard to find solutions. On the day of the festival there was a breeze and cloud cover to keep it cool. The hard rain held off until 4:50 PM. A great time was had by all. I thank Habitat for the day of intertainment and fellowship.
Thank the volunteers? We had over 500 volunteers who worked all aspect of the festival and assisted us host an excellent festival. Our loyal volunteers dedicated their time and effort to help us organize an awesome event.
