Apparently, many residents of ‘The Villages’ in Florida are concerned about their community moving away from building single-family homes and going full-on commercial and multi-family instead.

Seems that increasingly apartments, medical facilities, assisted living homes, shops, stores and businesses are the new focus.

The original ‘Orange Blossom Gardens’ started out as gated, Mobile Home Subdivision within the Town Of Lady Lake, back in the 70’s.

But they soon changed, first to ‘hybrids’; Mobile Home Construction installed on a concrete slab, and then to larger conventional homes.

The main selling approach was to promise ‘Free Golf For Life’ with access to numerous other ‘amenities’, clubhouses, Town Squares, softball, tennis and much more, all for a nominal monthly fee.

At the time, ‘officials’ from the Town Of Lady Lake freely admitted that they were approving

tax-free bonds to the now-renamed “Villages”.

‘High Finance’ is way beyond my understanding, but it seems that the Founder, Harold Schwartz and his son Gary Morse’s team, would borrow the Bond Money to be used for land purchases, and construction improvements, water, sewer, streets, golf courses etc; Then that ‘infrastructure’ and those amenities would be sold to another company they owned/controlled, thereby making a multi-million dollar cash profit, without risking a dime of their own money. Q-How many Villagers are infected with the COVID 19 virus?

-Some suggest that as many as 15,600 infectious residents are mixing with their neighbors, friends and family every day!

But, facts are few!

Q-From a reader, “I would like to see the ratio of positive tests to negative tests.”

-Local news sources report only 320 Covid infections in the 32162/32162 zip-code areas.

-But another said that there are 1,460 cases in and around The Villages.

(The total number of tests in The Villages is unknown)

The State of Florida shows:-

Total Number of Tests Administered – 3,200,000

Positive Tests about 380,000.

Deaths about 5,400.

Math is not my thing!

It’s interesting/unfortunate to see how ‘selective’ we are when watching/reading the ‘news’!

Our newspapers, television channels, magazines, radio stations are slanted towards the right or the left- Republican or Democrat.

At the same time, we, their reader/viewers, choose to get our news from a medium which agrees with our own biased Point-Of-View. So ‘facts’ are difficult to find.

COVID 19- Where are we now? Where are we going?

Some sources report about 1.5 million infections in the United States alone since January of this year. But, of course we need to know “Is that the whole truth?”

Where are we now?

Public debt now adds up to more than $22 trillion — the highest it has ever been.

This, despite the fact that we are in the largest economic expansion since World War II.

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) anticipates that the U.S. will continue to rack up more debt faster than ever before.

Over the next 10 years, Congress will have to borrow another $1.2 trillion which is far higher than any time in the past 50 years.

The Democrats are accusing Trump of obstructing Congress because he has refused to let his staff testify.

But the 5th Amendment to the Constitution of United States of America says, in part:- “No person shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.”

Is it reasonable that President Trump has made that choice? Or, another way of asking is “Why would Trump ‘witness against himself’ whether it is him or someone speaking for him? Continue reading →

As I See It, if the Democrats multi-million dollar effort to depose the President of the United States fails, then ‘The Donald’ will have achieved most, if not all, of the above.

Did you know that the Constitution of the United States of America limits impeachment to “Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors”.

Unfortunately the exact meaning of the phrase “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” is not defined.
