We were very lucky this week. I ate out three times once at Carrabas all you can eat soup & salad $7.99. it was all good the salad was nicely done and I had one of each of the soups they were very good. Especially the sausage lentil soup.
The next day I took my wife to Olive Garden and of course had the soup and salad. I tried two soup both were very good. I would say they were both restaurants equally as good. Bread and salad were excellent.
I was going to brag about Off Duty’s food but someone said they close. I heard they are looking for a new place. It is a great concept catering to Off Duty first responders. I hope they reopen soon, the food was really good.
Mother’s Day / Texas Roadhouse 7 pm Sunday night. I had got on the waiting list day before. When we got there at 7 pm there must have been a hundred people waiting outside. I check in they looked for my name on the waiting list and we made it in with a short waiting time. There was six of us, my Son Travis wife Lindsay, my wife Phyllis, two grandsons Brantley Cash and Lane
I had 8 oz sirloin and shrimp, my son ordered a filet minion and shrimp. I could not eat my steak it was fixed right but to tuff, pink inside the way I ordered it. I took it home, the next morning for breakfast I put a cup of water some beef bullion, sirloin steak, onion. Garlic and some Onion Blossom appetizer, brought it to a boil, let it sit for a few minutes and it was good. The filet my son had was great. It was $4 more. The Chefs are pushing through that many people on a special holiday they can’t worry about the cut of meat, it was cooked the way I ask for it. Service was good and prompt. My shrimp was good, we had fun! I’ll never go on a holiday again or I won’t eat steak, just shrimp!
