Medicare For All ?

President Donald Trump says he has a better plan than any other – We’ll see !

In the meantime, ‘two-out-of-three’ Republicans don’t care if their fellow Americans have Health Care or not. They think that ‘Medicare-For-All’ is a non-starter.

They seem overlook the fact that, in America, almost no-one goes without. The uninsured can go to the emergency room and demand immediate attention or do without.

This, of course, is encouraged by the Medical Industry which rakes in $10,000, $20,000, $30,000 PER DAY for each Walk-In!

One survey reported that almost half of the respondents said that they are “financially burdened” by medical bills. Any employers health plan can cost about $20,000 dollars a year, with ruinous co payments and deductibles.

But almost all of the ‘Over-65’s’ say they are ‘OK’ with the system. Obviously because they get a ‘free-ride’ – thanks to Medicare.

Republicans claim that Americans would lose their existing health insurance and have to change doctors. And, they say, there would be a huge tax increase to cover the cost of any Government Health Care Program..

This survey said that almost One Third of all Americans think we need a completely new system

About 40% say we need to improve the existing system.

Another 30% think that the system is good as it is.

But a miniscule 4% think that no improvements are needed at all.

Most of the Democrat Presidential candidates say that ‘A Single-Payer, Medicare for All’ system is the only way to go.

Their proposed Health Care System would provide Health Care for everyone. Unfortunately, the Democrats also want to ‘outlaw’ private health insurance. But Doctors and Hospitals would stay private.

This idea dates back to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt who gets credit for Social Security, but his attempts to include a ‘National Health Service’ were defeated by doctors and the drug industry.

People would no longer be tied to inadequate coverage from their employer.

And the benefits would be a lot more generous than we have right now.

Also workers would not have to pay any part of the premium or huge deductibles

How would we pay for ‘Universal Health Care’? –

It would not be through tax increases because the ‘premiums’ are the cost of services, not the ‘Tax & Spend’ Circus we have now.

How about the government reallocating the estimated $4 trillion a year which is the cost of health care right now?

Unfortunately, the Democrats also want to ‘outlaw’ private health insurance, which is an unnecessary hindrance to getting the laws changed.

Why would an American Citizen be prohibited from buying whatever insurance they want, for any reason?

As I see it, everyone is required to pay into Social Security, but they are not banned from making whatever financial plans for retirement that they choose.

Why does Health Care Insurance have to be any different?

Universal Health Care Insurance -vs- Private Health Care Insurance – It’s “As Well As” NOT “Instead Of”.

’til next time
