One of our readers says that the word ‘trump’ means “exceed, out-flank, out-match, scoop, surmount, out-perform, out-strip, scoop, best, out-do and surpass“.
As I See It, if the Democrats multi-million dollar effort to depose the President of the United States fails, then ‘The Donald’ will have achieved most, if not all, of the above.
Another reader asked, “Why has there been no discussion in the mainstream media about ‘succession’?
Apparently, if Vice President Mike Pence declined, then, Believe-It-Or-Not, the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D) would be President without a vote from anyone.
The US Constitution says that a President can be removed for “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors”. My understanding is that it started with President Donald Trumps phone call to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
So, I read through that ‘official’ document.
Surprisingly, it includes this:- “CAUTION: Memorandum of a Telephone Conversation is not a verbatim transcript. The text in this document records the notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty Officers and NSC policy staff assigned to listen and memorialize the conversation in written form as the conversation takes place. A number of factors can affect accuracy including poor telecommunications connections and variations in accent and/or interpretation.
The word “inaudible” is used to indicate portions of a conversation that the note-taker was unable to hear“.
It is this document, which admits ‘unreliability and inaccuracy’, that the Democrats claim as ‘proof’ of wrong-doing by President Trump.
Here are a few more excerpts:-
President Zelensky: “We are trying to work hard to ‘drain the swamp’ here in our country“.
President Trump: “The United States has been very good to Ukraine. I wouldn’t say that it’s reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good“.
President Zelensky:”You are absolutely right. Also thank you for your great support in the area of defense. We are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes“.
President Trump: “I would like you to do us a favor though. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine. I would like to have the Attorney General call you. I would like you to get to the bottom of it. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible”.
President Zelensky: “Yes it is very important for me. (We) will work hard on making sure that our two nations are getting closer relations. I guarantee that all the investigations will be done openly and candidly”.
President Trump:“Good because I heard (that) you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down and that’s really unfair, you had some very bad people involved. Mr. Giuliani will call you along with the Attorney General”.
This non-verbatim summary says that President Trump continued, “There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son. So, whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution. It sounds horrible to me”.
President Zelensky: “I’m knowledgeable about it, the situation. The next prosecutor general will start in September. We will take care of that and will work on the investigation”.
Zelensky continued-“With regard to the Ambassador I recall her name was Ivanovicli. Her attitude towards me was far from the best as she admired the previous President and she was on his side. She would not accept me as a new President”.
President Trump:”I will tell Rudy and Attorney General Barr to call”.
President Zelensky:“Thank you very much Mr. President”.
President Trump:”Congratulations on a fantastic job you’ve done. The whole world was watching”.
President Zelensky:”Thank you Mr. President bye-bye”.
